Beaches
This category covers the volcanic beaches on the south and east coasts: the Red Beach near Akrotiri, the eroded ash cliffs above Vlychada, and the black-sand stretches of Kamari and Perissa on either side of Mesa Vouno, with Perivolos further along. None of these beaches lie on the caldera side, where the cliffs drop straight into the sea without a shoreline.
