Things to do in Paros

Paros sits in the central Cyclades, roughly two hours away from Santorini by high-speed ferry out of Athinios, one stop beyond Naxos and one short hop before Mykonos on the same route. That crossing eats most of a travel day each way, so this is a page for a multi-day extension into the central Cyclades, not a day trip from Santorini.

Fares and schedules vary by operator and season, so treat the two-hour figure as a rough guide rather than a fixed time. The island's marble quarries supplied sculptors in antiquity, and its hill villages and inland trails reward a slower pace than a single afternoon allows.

Ferries run more frequently from June to September and thin out considerably from November to March, when some connections drop to a few times a week.
