Things to do in Perivolos Beach

Perivolos is the southern stretch of the same black-sand beach as Perissa, just without the village at its back — the two run together along roughly 3 kilometres of coastline below the Mesa Vouno, and there is no clear break between them.

What sets Perivolos apart is a denser run of beach clubs and sunbed rows, aimed more at a day of lounging and cocktails than at anyone based in a village room. The volcanic sand gets hot enough by midday that sandals are worth carrying, same as anywhere on this south coast.

Sunbed and umbrella pairs typically run €15-25 a day at the clubs, and most rent out from spring through October before closing for winter. This page stays on the beach itself, not the walk up to Ancient Thira or Perissa's older core.
