Things to do in Imerovigli

Imerovigli sits at the highest point of the caldera rim, above Skaros Rock, and its terraces are the most commonly recommended alternative to the Oia sunset crowd.

There is no shortage of tavernas and infinity pools built for the view, and it is a 25 to 40 minute walk from Fira along the caldera path, less if you take a taxi or bus to the village first.

Like every caldera village here, Imerovigli has no beach and no port access; the drop to the sea is sheer, and swimming means driving to Kamari or Perissa on the other side of the island. Come for sunset an hour or so before it sets, in season, and expect restaurant tables booked well in advance from June to September.
