Things to do in Pollonia

Pollonia sits at the northern tip of Milos, a small harbour village of one waterfront row rather than the island's main town, which lies elsewhere. It is quieter and smaller-scale, and it is the usual departure point for the short ferry to Kimolos, a crossing that runs in well under an hour.

Most visitors base themselves here for a calmer stay than the main town offers, or pass through on a day trip to Kimolos, or fold it into an island-hopping route from Santorini, where a day out already means spending most of the time on the water.

Tavernas line the small bay, fishing boats still work from it, and the pace is domestic rather than resort-built.
