Wine Tasting

This is the largest food-and-drink group on the site, covering tastings at the Assyrtiko wineries scattered through Pyrgos, Megalochori, Exo Gonia, Vothonas and Messaria, often paired with the sweet Vinsanto made from sun-dried grapes. Most cellars sit inland on volcanic soil rather than along the caldera, so tastings are usually combined with a village visit rather than a sunset view.
